US LVN to BSN (in Philippines)? Good Idea?

  1. I'm about to finish my LVN here in LA thinking it would only take me another year to become an RN through an LVN-RN bridge program. Now I find out that I still need to take a lot of pre-requisites before being admitted to the bridge program and that none of my LVN classes count. I am thinking of going back to the Philippines to take my BSN. Since i already have a bachelor's degree (not a science course) in the Philippines, and having an lvn license here in US, i am thinking i might take my BSN there in the Philippines for a shorter period of time instead of the traditional four/five-year course (I know somebody who did it in 1 year). I am still unsure about this though, please help me decide?
