After Waiting For A Year I Finally Got My Acceptance Letter Into The Lpn Class I Start On July 2 With 3 Weeks Being Excluded Since I Am Already A Cna.

Congradulations! I remember when I got my acceptance letter. I was so excited, I brought it in to my Dad who was in a LTC. He read the letter to himself, tears welled up in his eyes, but, he had a huge smile on his face. My Mom and oldest sister were there and kept asking what it said. He finally read it to them, and then told everyone who entered his room about his daughter the Nurse! I've never seen him so proud as when he read it to them. Dad passed 2 weeks before my classes started, but I know he was relieved cause he wouldn't have to worry about what would happen to me anymore. I still have that letter, I think I'll keep it forever.

Congrats to all who have been accepted to LPN school!! I have faith I will be able to shout the same for this coming August07 semester. To gentlegiver: I read your post. It brought tears to my eyes how your father was able to know before his passing that you were going to nursing school. I know how it feels to lose a parent, as my father passed in 2003 and I didn't get a chance to tell him that I was pursuing a nursing career. He was there for my other degrees though. I'm sure your dad is in heaven now, smiling and cheering you on. Good luck to everyone :balloons:
