LPN hired in hospital

Published

Hey everyone! I was an ED tech for a few years before going into the LPN program and I just graduated in June. A nearby hospital has decided to go back to team nursing and interviewed and hired me for a full time spot on their ortho/trauma unit! The set up is 10-12 patients per RN/LPN/CNA (one team). I have never worked ortho/trauma before (other than in the ER) and I have never worked in team nursing either. Can someone give me a run down of what a day in ortho nursing and team nursing is typically like? I start orientation tomorrow, thanks!

Team nursing in ortho was NOT a good experience for me. You're not in Texas, by any chance, are you?
