LPN first or straight to RN?? LPN jobs in Arkansas?

hi, didnt know exactly where to put this.. i don't know if i should go for lpn first or rn. for some background so that maybe someone can help me with this..

my husband is in the military and we are currently in fort leonard wood, mo. he will get out of the military in january of 2014. while we are still here i was planning on going to a community college to get pre reqs in and then finishing up when we move back to arkansas after he leaves the military. only thing is, i dont know exactly where we will be living in arkansas he wants to get a job in law enforcement (he's an MP in the army) so we could end up anywhere. especially if he gets to state trooper like he wants, so i don't know which college i would need to transfer to. i was told that most classes transfer nowadays but who knows.. lol OR i could try to get into the LPN program next fall (which requires anatomy and physiology before you start, so i will be taking spring and summer semester classes no matter what might as well get some more out of the way while i have to go anyway im gonna take some math too i definitely need to refresh lol) and if i do lpn i would try to find a job while we are waiting for him to get settled into a new job and then go back to school to further my education. is that worth it or should i just go to college the next two years we are here and try to get most of my pre reqs done?? my husband is worried about income after the army and us both going to school (he wouold be working on his bachelors' in psychology by that time) should i become an lpn and go back to school later while working my way through college as an lpn or should i just go right back?? also, are lpn jobs easy to find in arkansas?? or would this just be a waste of my time and money? im kinda confused and just need help deciding what would be best. on one hand i really want to be able to work when he gets out of the army and we move back to arkansas but i would also like to get done sooner... just not sure... anyone have any advice? thanks in advance!!
