Growing up with a sick mother was not easy ,always in out the hospital sick day and night . She had diabetes all her life and struggled with it every day. I would help her with her dressing for her ulcer caused by high blood sugar . I would go to the pharmacy and pick up her insulin . I never understood why all this was happening to her ,until one day I met with her Doctors, nurse's and dietitian.
The dietitian always told my mother to avoid surgery drink, such as orange juice and soda pop. My mother never listen to the rules of her diet but I did. As young child remember cooking healthy meals for her , and accompanied with her appointments. I enjoyed doing this for her, it never bothered me at all. On a way I never knew how serious her illness.
Watching my mother decline loosing both her legs was difficult . January 31,2012 I lost my mother to diabetes . When the doctor amputated both her legs ,she never held. She became septic and develop gangrene . The medication stop working leading to her to have sepsis. Even though it was sad to loose her I felt a pit relive that she was at peace. I very much respected the nurses and doctors as well the dietitian , they did as much as the could. If was not for them I would of never knew anything or have any understanding .
The first job I ever worked was at a health care agency taking care of the sick and disabled . I loved my job. I was trained as a Personal Care Aide and a HCSS worker which is Home care support services . I felt I already had experienced because for many years I did similar tasks . After years of working as a Personal Care Aide I wanted to further my education. Now I work at a Nursing home as a Certified Nursing Assistant and love what I do. I could never see myself doing another kind of work then health care.
Everyday I work beside Nurses ,Doctors physical Therapist . I Admire the work they do. Its not easy being a nurse , it's not just meant for anybody . More so compassionate, caring ,devoted individuals. This why I would love to become a license practical nurses . One day I would liked to further my education and become a Registered nurse . Working as a LPN would give me the experience I need just like working as a certified nursing assistant prepares for working as a lpn, because I take care of the patients everyday .

Hi Cat,
What is the topic of this essay supposed to be?
Why do I want to become a lpn? I just would like to know if I am on topic
After reading that, I feel like I know a lot about your mom, but barely anything about you. It should probably be refocused.

Moved to LPN student and title clarified
Growing up with a sick mother was difficult, always in and out the hospital sick day and night. She was diagnosed with Diabetes all her life had been struggling with it day in and day out. I was there to help her with things like dressing her everyday. High blood sugar caused ulcers, I learn how to to do her dressings. Trips to the pharmacy and pickinn up her insulin.
I always enjoyed helping others, it came so naturally to me. I would say because of my past dealing with a sick mother made me such a caring person. Going to the doctors talking to nurses i would think to myself i could see ny self doing this.
The first job I've ever had was working at a health care agency taking care of the sick and disabled. I love my job as a Personal Care Aide and an HCSS worker which is Home care support services. I felt having that I had similar experience taking care of my mother, I applied it to my job. I took care of many different people such as tramic Brian injury to byrn victims. People all ages ,young adults to elders who just needed help getting up in the morning.. Three years of working as a Personal Care Aide I wanted to further my education. Now, I work at a nursing home as a certified nursing assistant and absolutely love coming to work everyday. Never could see myself being in another industry other than health care.
Every day, working beside nurses, doctors, physical therapist. Admiring, the work they do day in and out. Being a nurse, is not just meant for anybody. Individuals would need to be compassionate, caring and devoted to helping others. I feel that i possessed all these qualities. I would say i have great communication skills. One thing i love about my job is talking to my clients and elders.knowing about there past where they worked. This is my one life goals to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. Furthering my education and becoming a Registered Nurse. Working as an LPN would give me the experience I need just like working as a Certified Nursing assistant prepares for working as an LPN because I strive take care of the patients I care for everyday. This why i would like to become a lpn.
Any input welcome

The first paragraph needs to be about You, then explain your experiences and what you think shaped you into You!

I wanted note same . You can add in the first paragraph "Despite the fact I started my career in medicine in field of health care I have cultivated a genuine desire in the aspect of licensed practical nurse while and after my training" or something like that
