Lpn entrance exam results-prince tech

Hello,

I am currently in the process of applying to the Prince Tech LPN program, and I just took the entrance exam. It was the TEAS test. I found the math and science sections somewhat difficult. I was wondering if anyone has been accepted into Prince Tech and could share their test scores so I have an idea as to what kind of scores the school is looking for. Also do they allow you to take the test more than once and then accept the best score? I know some schools do that...anyway, here is my score, someone help me interpret it!!!

Adjusted Individual Total Score: 77.6%

Mean - National 72.8%

Mean - Program 66.2%

Percentile Rank - National: 66

Percentile Rank - Program: 88

Hi Kbatchelor, If you are talking about prince tech in hartford, ct I am a current student there i asked the director of our program and she said that you can retake the teas test if u want to. However you cannot do it within 30 days of the first one. When it comes to interpreting your scores i have no idea because we used the NET last year when i applied to get in. You can always go to the school and ask our receptionist her name is Shamonique and ask her she is more knowledgeable about these things anyway. Or you can just simply call her @ [phone] ext.5036 Hope this helps!!!!

Thank you, that is a great help! So I am now planning on retaking the test, but my next question is do I have to somehow let them know that I am retaking it? Or do they automatically see that I took the test twice and accept the best score? Thank you so much for helping me out I really appreciate it!

No you do not have to let them know that you are planning to retake the test. Because they will automatically get your results anyway. From my knowledge if u retake it they will generally just look at the better scores. I've seen a couple of girls literally come in and asked what is the likelihood of them getting in. I guess you can try it that way if you want.

Do you know what the acceptance rate is? I wasn't sure if it is a very competitive program. I'm having pretty bad anxiety about it, in case you can't tell...hehe

Honestly i am not sure. But last year when our class started our director told us that over 200 people applied for the prince tech program alone and only 40 students were chosen.

I do not know if its about the same number that applied this year because of the whole having college credits thing. If we had college credits we were given extra consideration, if u did not then you have to get to get the required credits before we graduate in janauary 2010. To be honest i was surprised when i got in because i was in the 70th percentile, but then again i had all my college credits. I would not really worry if i were u because u are close to the 90th percentile. Don't stress yourself over it remember you also get to pick a second choice for a school.

When you say college credits are you refering to the prerequisite requirements of a math and an English?
