LPN to BSN online (TCN/ISU)

Do you live in NJ? or California?... I live in NJ and just signed up for TCN lpn-adn/rn program. i chose this route in order to test drive TCN per se. Depending on how i felt about the program over the next few months i might switch over to the LPN-BSN program (apparantly its too late cancel all together no matter how i felt anyway).... The rep told me that they(TCN) are accredited "regionally" and "nationally", so wouldnt that mean that they're accredited in all 50 states?? If not, are they at least accredited by NJBON? Or should I say is the Excelsior/ISU accredited by NJBON? Will any/all credits accumulated be transferrable is i decide to go to a traditional school? By reading other threads im starting to feel like ive been dooped.....

I am taking LPN to BSN/RN track through The College Network and Indiana State U.
I have had 4 Pre Req courses including AP 1&2, Microbiology and Sociology.
I am taking the first Nursing (ISU) exam on Tuesday.
I had no problems with The College Network courses, and you can take the non-nursing exams right at home. I had to arrange a proctor for the ISU Nursing Courses with my local librarian, but ISU makes the process easy to do.
College Network is NOT a scam, but if you live in CA they are not currently accredited there, so you would need to find an alternate, like U of Pheonix.
I will be attending The College of Nursing at Indiana State via online courses and locally based Clinical and Exam proctors, in Fall 2013. So far all is going well!
I have been an LPN for 3 years, but in NJ you can only work in nursing homes and homecare....very few job opportunities.
I look forward to getting my RN to widen my employment possibilities and higher salary.
Again, The College Network is not a scam. But you really have to be highly motivated to pass any online course. Take it from me...I was a teacher for ten years!
Unless you live in CA, if you want to do LPN to BSN, this is an excellent way to go!!

So when i look on your profile this is your only post period. Can i assume that your just a rep of TCN trying to put out a "positive" post for TCN??

TCN is not a school nor is it accredited in any way academically. They are a publishing company that creates study guides. They do not give college credit nor do they grant degrees. (This should be clear in the fine print in their website/contract). Publishing companies cannot be academically accredited regionally or nationally.

NJBoN does not accredit programs that are not located in NJ.

TCN is not authorized by, affiliated with nor recommended by Excelsior College. Excelsior College clearly states that no outside company representative (whether TCN, Rue, Achieve or any other company) may make admissions or academic advising recommendations for the Excelsior College ASN program. Only EC admissions and advising staff may do so. The study guides are not authorized by EC and have been found at times to contain incorrect or irrelevant material especially if an exam has been updated/changed.

Indiana State University DOES have a relationship with TCN. And if you fail an ISU exam you are expected to purchase a TCN module before retaking the exam.

As you are challenging exams not taking classes, the CLEP or DANTES or even EC exams for general education are likely to transfer (with the exception of A&P/Micro as those do not have a lab component and most schools require lab classes ). Nursing challenge exams may or may not transfer but as each curriculum is unique most schools do not accept transfer of nursing classes.
