LPN to ADN at age 64

Published

Currently an LPN, thinking of getting my ADN but would be age 65 when I graduate. I’m in great shape, really enjoy Nursing, just looking to expand my opportunities. Is anyone familiar with others that have gone from LPN to ADN in their 60’s?

Which online program did you apply to?

I’m so glad to have found this thread. I’m 44 getting ready to turn 45. I’m  an LPN and thinking of going back for my BSN. I was feeling too old! Are there programs online that you can do? How do clinical work?

I have been reading about Indiana State University LPN to BSN.  The thing with this program which is online is that you have to find your own clinical sites and your own preceptor.  Certain states board of nursing do not accept RN's from this program. I think around 27 do.

Hutchinson Community College is online and you fly to where the clinicals are held and do them in an 8-10 day block
