I have the same question.. I have a Cum. GPA of 3.0
I was originally going to school for teaching, I did so- so in those courses.
When I decided to switch to nursing, I did really well in my pre-reqs. However with the past courses hanging over my head Im scared I will not be accepted to Nova? Does anyone have any knowledge regarding this topic??

I can't say for certain when it comes to where it is you want to apply, but check the qualifications before applying, although it NEVER, EVER hurts to apply anyway, you never know! I know a lot of Nursing Programs that base off of cumulative GPA (which means overall GPA, while a lot of others base their decision on curricular GPA (Pre-Reqs only, if I've read right). The best thing to do is contact the college of your choice and ask if they base cumulative or curricular GPA for the program and go from there, but I believe most go for the pre-req GPA. Good luck!
Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. I am going to take your advice and follow up with the college.
