Nursing school while working full time

  1. I am a single mother in Alexandria. I have a bachelors degree in Pyschology and would like to earn a nursing degree. The problem is that I have to work since I have a mortgage and car note, as well as other bills. I'm looking for any advice from those who have completed nursing programs while still working full time. Are there any evening or weekend programs available in Louisiana? There is an accelerated program at LC here but they don't want you to work while participating in the program and that's understandable. Just looking for where I should start. I welcome and thank you for any suggestions.

I work, but not full time. The 20 hours a week I work do make it pretty difficult. That being said, I do believe that you can do anything you put your mind to. Will it be difficult, yes it will. But you can do it. Do you have any family or friends to help you with your kids? Mine are young and I couldn't do this without my hubby and family to help out. NS in general takes a lot of time management. I don't know about nights though, NS really kind of rules your life and you don't have a say over your schedule. At least not at my school.
    Good luck to you.
