OMIGOD! How tragic! I am so sorry for the loss. I know it's bad anytime but especially so at this time of year. Know that you're being thought of and hope that you find solace within fond memories of your times together. Sympathies to that family, too. So sorry. Words cannot convey soothing balm needed for things of this magnitude.

So sorry for your loss.
Back in October my mom had a brain aneursym that caused a subarachnoid hemorrhage. Everyone thought she was going to die but thanks to the wonderful nurses and doctors she has made a remarkable recovery.
What the healthcare professionals did for my mom has lead me to want to become a nurse. I feel indebted to those folks for the miracle they performed.
You and your coworker's family are in my thoughts and prayers.
