Losing my mind - Taking NCLEX in less than 2 weeks!!

Published

So.. I am freaking out. I graduated in July and had a heck of a time getting my school to send out my transcript. After putting out 200+ applications and not so much as a call.. I finally have an interview next Friday for my dream job - Labor and Delivery! And the nurse manager knows my NCLEX test date  - so there is NO pressure there! Ha!

I am scheduled to take the NCLEX on October 14th and I am so nervous I can barely see straight!! I took the Kaplan class and have been doing the Qbank questions.. but only getting 55-58%. I got 64% on diagnostic and the readiness tests.. but these results in the 50s are freaking me out. The Kaplan class instructor said we should be getting 60-65%.

Anyone else out there that got scores similar to mine (55-58%) and passed NCLEX with no problems?! I'd love to get 75 questions.. all of my friends that got 75 passed. I am sure I won't be able to sleep the night before.. and I made sure to fill my xanax prescription for test day! Sad, but true.

Just hoping I can find someone that was in the same situation that can give me some encouraging news!

Thanks! :)

Good luck on your test.

Good Luck your in my prayers! I take mine in two weeks too...I am going crazy already

Good luck! Get ExamCram, their CD has a "stimulated exam" which is a mock NCLEX... 3 hours of time, don't know how many questions you'll have... then it scores you as either "Way below average", "Below", "Average", "Above" and "Excellent". Average or better meaning you're likely to pass. It also just helps you mentally and physically prepare for the test since it's "similar". And I took the PN.. but my NCLEX questions we're VERY similar to almost word for word as some that I saw on my ExamCram (and ExamCram is made by Pearson btw). And also- I passed! Found out today :)

Good luck!!

I loved the Exam Cram!! I will also suggest that you get the LaCharity book. if you don't want to buy it go to a Barnes and Noble store near you and just look through it! I used Exam Cram and Lacharity to pass mine last week!! Good luck!! I will be praying for you!!

Hi KICKASKAS

I know exactly how you feel I am also scheduled to take my test on the 14 . I have taking kaplan and my Qbank scores are 58-60% i did QT 1-3 and got a 60% on everyone:confused:. I just took a chance and did Qt 6 and scored 59%. I'm a nervous reck trying to analyze these scores and the pass rate. I think for the remainder of this week I'm going to brush up on content in my weak areas and go over the rationale for all those qbank and QT test I took.

I have to Lacharity which I love and the exam cram, but to be honest I havent even looked at the cd for exam cram yet. I read the whole Kaplan book and now I'm going to brush up with my Saunders for content...I have classmates that have take Kaplan with me and so far they have all passed. Let's keep in touch...We "WILL" pass:D

I did the exam cram stimulated exam and I scored average to above average on the areas of the mock nclex...I dont know what that means but the moment the test randomly stop I thought I was taking the actually nclex I was so nervous to see my scores lol...I could only image myself the day of the exam. Congrats on passing I pray that I will see those four letters PASS, God willing I will!
