Where are you? Where are you applying?

It appears from previous posts that you may have some problems with appropriate communication? And you have inappropriately attacked previous responders who took time to help you.

oh okay didnt know RNs here like you has a big mouth, I dont expect you to answer a silly question! God Bless you!

Perhaps that communication issue is hindering your job search?

Have you had your resume assessed by a someone experienced in hiring nurses?

applying in NY.. idk what to say thought you could help me

Have you had your resume assessed by a someone experienced in hiring nurses?

i did research to make my resume looks appealing to them but they dont email me back sadly

It took me going to human resources to drop off my cover letter in person to land my first hospital job. If I had just submitted online applications, I probably wouldn't have heard anything. My advice to you is find a way to meet the hiring people.

Just to be safe, I would go to your school's career services office and see if they can offer any suggestions about your resume. A second set of eyes never hurts. They can also do a practice interview with you. Then, I would hit up career fairs near you and just see who you meet and who seems interested in talking to you more. They can be scary, but that's how I got my latest job.

I found that applying to only select places can inhibit your chances and a agency will only hire you if you have previous experience. Have you thought about pediatric home health care? they are willing to train and take new grads. However, the pay might be low but at least you will be getting your foot in the door.

Are you only applying to hospital positions? Generally, jobs are easier to secure at nursing homes, home health companies, private duty, hospices, psychiatric facilities, group homes, jails, prison infirmaries, and so forth.

If you have not already done so, start looking outside the hospital. Good luck!

Home Health Care doesn't necessarily mean lower pay than a hospital

I have been a RN 21 years. My first job was in a nursing home for a year. I felt it a good place to start to get my feet wet. Then I worked for the State for 3 years, moved to another state and went to work for a large Hospital. I have worked many diverse areas since then and am back working with the State. Government jobs seem to have the best bennies. To be a travel nurse you must have 1-2 years recent experience. That can be something you can try in the future when you have worked in acute care. These sites are all ones I have gotten a job from. 1. Ihire nursing. There is a small fee. 2. Craiglslist. Yes, alot of homecare and nursing home jobs listed here. 3. Careerbuilder. I was hired to a hospital job here. Don't give up. Some hospital or other jobs will advertise and say "New Grads Welcome". Keep your eye open for that. And don't hesitate to call the facility and find out who is the hiring manager and speak with them. Or also stop by. I hope it helps. I find that when I apply to alot of places I don't here anything right away, then am flooded with people calling to get an interview. I just have started with the State of NC now. And I had already taken a new job, along with my home care one, but the state pays pretty good and benefits are awesome. Find a stepping stone job. Nurses are always in need. And aim toward what you feel is the area of nursing you think you would enjoy. If you don't, there are so many areas to try. The jobs will come.

What part of the state are you in? You don't have to be specific (you can maintain your privacy), but the situation in NYC is much different from WNY, CNY, the North Country, etc.
