It will be nice for all of us to meet at the Meet and Greet- July 23rd. Details are in your packet!
See you there! Again, CONGRATULATIONS!
Yes I have to schedule the background check. I will do that today. I almost forgot..yes I cannot wait to meet all of you at the "Meet and Greet!"
NBB2013- I TOLD YOU SO!! Congrats!:hpygrp:
I only had one more quarter at CSU East Bay...obviously that is put on hold now!! I will go back there to get my BSN.
I would actually recommend American Heart Association because many hospitals require that place due to their contracts, though nursing schools don't tend to be selective. Truly, though, they are the same classes being offered. When I took my EMT class, one of my classmates went through PulseCheckCPR and stated they gave students a discount, though I am not too sure of that based on the fact that she paid $40 (which is what you would expect from a CPR class that does not allow you to keep the supplies. My Red Cross class was $70, but I got to keep the adult and pediatric masks). Does LMC offer a summer CPR class, per chance?
Hi everyone! Congrats NBb2013!!! It's great to hear that you have also been accepted to the program. Regarding the CPR certificate, I was wondering if you guys can tell me if mine is valid or not. The course I took is "Adult CPR/AED" from the American Red Cross. It was issued on January 12, 2011 and is valid for 2 years. I tried calling the nursing department his morning but no one was available.
Today I went to register for classes! I met two other nursing students that are anxious to start. I hate that the books will not be available until about 2 week before school starts. So fellow nursing classmates, what are you doing to pass the time until August 12 gets here? Any special books you are reading to be better prepared? As for me, I am reviewing my physiology notes and reading a pharmacology book. Tomorrow I will be enjoying the day with my BFF because it's my :hpbday:

CONGRATULATIONS TO BOTH OF YOU!!!! :yeah:See, it was easier than you thought. Cannot wait to meet you both on July 23rd. Your right, there is alot you need to do before August 12th. Exciting though! If you order your kit now, she will not be sending them out until after August 1st. Also, the book bundles (if you want the free ebooks) are not available until August as well, according to the lady in the bookstore. Some of the books they recommend are much cheaper if you order them via BN or other book vendors. However, for the bundle, I am going to stick with the college as I really want the free ebooks.
Have you scheduled your background and drug screen yet? LaRhonda, hope you can now RELAX and enjoy your Disneyworld Trip!
