This is for applicants for Los Medanos College (Pittsburg, CA) for the Fall 2023 ADN (RN) program application cycle to connect with other prospects, discover more about the admissions timeline, and celebrate each others journey!
Here is what I learned from LMC thus far:
Side note: I live in Brentwood, CA near the school, anyone else local?

hello,
thank you for setting this up. I wanted to know if you have an update on the next process after the verification email I got early this month.
Thanks,
I got an email verification on 4/5 that I met phase 1 criteria and an email yesterday officially inviting me to phase 2.

Hi,
I'm applying for Fall 2024, I just wanted to ask how the process was with applying. Do you need your transcripts or anything like that when applying?
Yes you need your transcripts to accurately fill out the application plus you need to send all your transcripts to LMC so they can verify your application.
In April I received confirmation of my application and at the end of May I received notification I was accepted into phase 2. LMC only accepts your first TEAS 7 attempt, so take your time to study and do well your first attempt. They accept about 80 candidates to phase 2 and about 40 into the cohort. I suggest reading the handbook thoroughly before applying.
I actually am reapplying for Fall 2024 because I had to drop out of the running to take care of some personal stuff. But I am ready and excited for this Fall!
Are you applying anywhere else?
Thank you so much for responding! I apologize for asking so many questions but is there anything else we need when applying? Did you happen to do the foreign language documentation as well?
Im glad to hear that you're applying again!
Unfortunately, I can't apply to any other schools because I haven't finished my gen ED. I am thinking of staying local and applying to Cal State East Bay and looking into private schools too! Did you apply anywhere else?
I suggest downloading and reading the handbook- all the answers are in there. Thankfully it's a very straight forward process.
I only am only applying to LMC, it is the closest to me and I need the work life balance. I have a non-nursing bachelor's so doing a private school or cal state EB doesn't make sense for me. LMC does have the bridge program with Cal State EB, where you are guaranteed to get in after the ADN program to finish you BSN.
I personally want to do the closest and least expensive program to keep my option open for graduate school: FNP-DNP programs.
I submitted my application last week and my confirmation did say that they review applications in the order received so you may want to review the handbook and get your application in ASAP!
Thank you so much!
NP! Reach back out and LMK if you get in. It would be so great to know someone going in.
im in Brentwood, where are you? I'm studying for the TEAS 7 now. I hope to feel ready to take it by the end of February.
@iznurses I am curious if you were accepted to LMC FA23 and if you accepted? I had to postpone until FA24 and would be interested in getting feedback about the program
