Hi everyone!

I am making this forum because I don't see there is a forum already been made yet. Please feel free to comment on anything related to the application process so we can all stay updated. Good luck to everyone applying! (;

Same I applied to LBCC and got denied after the second phase.

May I ask what your plans are if you do not get in? I don't really have a backup plan, so I'm super anxious about everything. I thought about taking the required classes at El Camino for their nursing program, but I'm still not sure.

Honestly I’m not sure. I’ll reapply to LBCC and LAHC.

Hello, I do hope both of you get into Harbors program! But if you do end up getting a rejection (hopefully you don't) I do recommend you take those required classes for El Camino and Compton. I took them and honestly the intro to nursing was whatever but Dosage Calculations can be VERY handy once Nursing School begins. I got accepted into LA CONAH and I was told that in the first 2 weeks of school we will be getting tested on Dosage and must have above a 85% or we can be kicked out. And thanks to taking the class I can say im confident that I will pass that mandatory test.

Also I heard that some schools like for example, Cyrpress, requires 100% on the test.

Another thing is having taken those classes, as well as Medical Term. I did get extra points for Harbors application and other programs.

I applied to 9 programs because I know how competitive it can be to get accepted. I got rejected by LBCC first round. But then I got accepted into 4 programs. ELCOs, Comptons, Cypress, and CONAH. Still waiting on Harbors. Thats another advice I have, apply to more programs. I honestly didn't want to not get accepted for Spring 2022 cause I want to start already and become an RN already.

Good luck to you guys. I hope you do get accepted into Harbors program!

Thanks for your information, I also took the required courses at Compton and El Camino, it seems we may be in the same class ?

Currently waiting too… this is my last program that I have left after getting denied by 7 schools!! 5 of which were lottery, and 2 of which were point based ?. This is also my second attempt applying… so I hope I hear some good news as it is 50/50 here with lottery and points

Thank you for the information and kind words! I was supposed to apply to Harbor’s program for the Fall 2021 semester, but they weren’t accepting new applications at the time. It’s my dream school, and I’m a student at LAHC, so it would be an absolute dream come true if I were to hear good news this week. (Fingers crossed!) I also took the dosage class, medical terminology, and pharmacology, so I got those two extra points.

Whew! It’s been such a relief being able to talk to others that are in the same boat as me!

Have you committed to CONAH or are you waiting to hear back from Harbor before you make a decision?

I am not sure but most likely, I feel like most programs have a waiting list.

Yeah Harbor I heard is a very tough but GREAT school. I also see that the NCLEX pass rate for Harbor is always really high.

I am still not sure, I feel like if Harbor accepts me I might possibly just choose harbor. Mainly because its like 5 min away from me and the school I hear is just so great. But I also hear CONAH is a great school. So id have to choose based off distance and Harbor is waaay closer to me. But if they don't accept me then I won't be too down since I was accepted into CONAH.

Good luck tho, hopefully you all get chosen.

Hello everyone,

Has anyone heard back from LA Harbor College? I also sent my TEAS transcripts and have not heard back from them yet! ? I am getting scared, and started applying already to West Coast University for the BSN program ?

Hi! No, I haven’t heard back yet either ?

I’m anxious as well. Hopefully, we will hear back by the end of the week!

Has anyone called or emailed them?

I haven’t bothered calling or emailing because I assumed that they’re doing their best to get back to us ASAP. Looks like we’ll hear back tomorrow if what we heard before was true… Sigh…
