Los Angeles County College of Nursing and Allied Health Spring 2024

Published

Hi everyone! I just submitted my application to LACCONAH for the Spring 2024 cohort and thought I'd start a forum for us all here. If you have any questions or would like to share your stats, feel free to leave a comment.

Does anyone know at what point we are able to upload work verification to our portal? Is this completed after application submission?

Thanks and good luck to everyone!

Hi! Did you find out how to upload the work verification? I don't have to submit anything for that, but I'm curious if you were able to figure it out.

I did! Employment verification is emailed to the college, not uploaded to the portal. Still waiting on transcripts to show up under the documents section though.

Hi ! Does anyone know if they are still accepting online science courses ?

I am not sure about the online science courses, but they are great about answering questions over the phone if you want to call and ask.

Does anyone have their transcripts listed under the documents section yet?

I believe they are. At the info session, they said as long as your science includes a hand-on (I.e. "wet") lab then they will accept it. I also recommend calling to confirm, though I'm pretty sure online sciences are OK.

Yes, I have all my college transcripts marked as completed. I used Parchment, so I could even see when CONAH downloaded them. I'm still waiting for my high school to send transcripts though, and I haven't taken the TEAS yet.

So, I  just called to see if they accept fully online courses, according to the receptionist they are still accepting fully online courses ( even lab) . Hopefully the info is correct .  ?

Hi everyone! I just submitted my application, transcripts, and TEAS score! I calculated my points and I should have 86 (I think?). Hoping to get into this program since I'm from LA and it looks like a great program! What kind of points does everyone have??

I contacted my highschool about sending my transcripts but since I graduated over 12 years ago they said it would take 6 weeks to get my transcripts from the school district. Do you guys know what else I can send CONAH? I do have my hs diploma but I don't know if that's enough. I did attend a university for a few years and dropped out so no college degree which I know is another option.

I think I have 92 points total.

I think they would need your hs transcript if you didn't graduate from a university, unfortunately ? maybe you can try calling your school to see if you could expedite it?

My high school also told me it would take several weeks to process and send my transcripts (I graduated 10 years ago), but it took much less time. We only have a little over a week though so I would see if they can expedite the transcripts, like Winnie said. If not, just cross your fingers and send them anyway. Unfortunately though if they don't get in on time, you'll need to reapply for the next cycle because they don't accept high school diplomas as proof of completion.

I still haven't taken the TEAS yet (I'm waiting until the day before the application window closes) but I should have 91 points if I get above 75%.
