Los Angeles County College of Nursing - FALL 2020

Just wanted to start a thread for people who are applying Jan. 15 - Feb. 15 2020

Im trying to apply even though i only have 78 points without the interview points. ? hehe

But If I don't get an invite in MAY, I'll try to retake some GE's and bump my score up to 80.

However, I'm still going to try and turn in my application on Jan. 15

I believe during the info session, they mentioned that the most current version is needed. I'm sure you can call the admissions office and ask.

Hey guys I know we are all anxious. I have been accepted to Rio Hondo already but County is my first choice. So I just called to make sure they were on track and not behind due to COVID like the other nursing schools say they are behind. Good news is they will be sending our letters out tomorrow and everything is on track. So check the mail by Tuesday we should have something. Goodluck everyone. I have 89 points I'm hoping that will seal the deal but you never know. Rio goes off grades also so hopefully I can get in but well see. County is only 15 min away from my house and I have a son so I'm worried about the long commute to Rio if that's the only school I get into.

Thank you so much for doing that research for us! Do you know if they are only going to send out physical letters or emails as well?

They usually send both an email and physical mail! My sister is currently a first semester and she said she received both. On all of the past forums they’ve said that they received both as well. I’ll be checking my email tomorrow morning. I had 89 points!!

Thank you both so much for the information! That really puts my mind at ease and I'm sure I am not the only one who has been looking forward to tomorrow for a while now. I wish everyone the best of luck tomorrow! Whether it be at County or elsewhere, we will all be nurses someday! ?

I just received my email. I got waitlisted but it’s okay because I was accepted to a concurrent enrollment ADN/BSN program with Cal state Fullerton which was my first option.... County was my third option.

For those that didn't get accepted this time around, DONT GIVE UP! You CAN and WILL get into nursing school as long as you keep pushing! ?
