Just wanted to start a thread for people who are applying Jan. 15 - Feb. 15 2020
Im trying to apply even though i only have 78 points without the interview points. ? hehe
But If I don't get an invite in MAY, I'll try to retake some GE's and bump my score up to 80.
However, I'm still going to try and turn in my application on Jan. 15

Hi. I also went in for the interview part on Friday! Wasn't too bad!
how many points do you have before the interview portion?

It’s very time consuming so just prepare to devote a lot of time to studying and assignments. It’s difficult at times but very doable if you put in the work.

Would you be able to tell a bit about the program from a student’s perspective ? How do you like it at LACON? Do you feel like the program is unique and differs from other programs in the county?
I like the school everyone is very warm and friendly. I believe that all nursing schools are difficult from a theory standpoint. The clinical experience that you gain at county is where it’s different. We are able to do more things than other schools like chart assessments, start IVs, blood draws, IV push meds & Alaris pump medications. Basically the only thing we can’t do as a student is hang blood. There are some new grads on my clinical floor who are still learning to do things we already know. LOL sometimes we teach them.
