I am an lpn and have worked in longterm care for my whole nursing carrer.I am becoming very disheartened about the direction that longterm care is going.Would like to do something completely different. Maybe even try work from home .Have been an lpn for 26 years. Is there anything out there that I could do ? Have been unit manager .Also thinking about going back to school learning something new like medical billing or coding.Any suggestions? Thank you.

If you don't want to go back to school you could go into home health or private duty.

I've been a LPN for 15 years myself. Mostly in LTC. I know exactly what you mean. I'm currently doing private duty again. It's more laid back. You can actually focus on your patient instead of running around trying to get all your paperwork done and meds passed to 30+.
