Looking for nursing schools in or near my city!!!

Hi guys!! I am currently completing my GED exam. I've passed all my tests except for math which I retaking on December 11th. After that I'll take my SATs and try to find a college/university that have nursing programs.

I'm new to all of this but I was wondering if anyone knew about any colleges or universities near Bakersfield California that are approved by the nursing board. I have no idea what the board is called but the school needs to be accredited.

Also any advice on what classes to take and what I should take?

If you go to your state's BON website, you should be able to find schools approved by the state. You can also use ACEN and CCNE websites to find accredited schools.
