Looking for BSN or MSN preceptor for RN-BSN practicum (Boston, MA)

Published

Good Morning allnurses,

I am an RN in my final semester of my BSN at Kaplan University. In order to complete my degree requirements, I must complete a capstone practicum of 60 hours following a BSN- or MSN-prepared nurse in any field. This is an observational experience only, and no hands-on patient care is required nor permitted. The experience is to begin this November and end mid-January, or whenever the 60 hours are completed.

As I stated, I am a registered nurse and am currently employed as a pediatric private duty nurse. My husband and I are a military family living in the northshore Boston, MA area. I have been an RN since February 2011, and have been in my current position since November 2011. I am a student in good standing at Kaplan University and carry a GPA of 3.7. I am able to provide the appropriate background checks and resume upon request.

Please contact me here or via email at [email protected], if yourself or someone you know would enjoy instructing a fellow nurse in the professional setting.

Lydia Birch, RN

I was wondering how it went in finding a preceptor. I am also in need in finding someone to observe soon. Do you recommend any facilities? I have no idea how to go about asking. Any ideas? Would really appreciate your input.
