My first instinct would be that you were not working at a facility as a nurse tech while you were going to school. Hence the difficulty in finding a position. My first question would be how are you looking? If you are just looking for ads you are going about it way wrong- you need to go talk to people, the people would actually do the hiring. Find out who to talk to by talking with classmate who do have jobs.

Are you looking to work in a hospital? I know my hospital St. Joes has a great GN program. I did it myself a 2 yrs ago. They get you into the area you want to work and you if you have no clue were you want to work they let you rotate thru the different floors like the ER, ICU/CCU Med Surg and even L&D. Good Luck on your search

please post where you end up having luck. Im an LPN but I graduate with my RN in December. I just moved to Tampa and it looks like I will be here at least thru next fall when my fiance will finish school. We may have to move again depending on where he gets a job. Anyway, I want to know about where a good place to start out is in Tampa.
