Hi Guys!:balloons:
I just received an acceptance letter from LIU in Brooklyn. Is there anyone out there who is currently in the program or graduated recently? I want to know the good, the bad and the ugly and more. I have 30 days to put down a deposit and to make a decision. I am EXCITED and THANKFUL that I was accepted into a program- other programs that I am intersted in are accepting applications for Spring 08 and later. . . suggestions and comments are greatly appreciated.

Hello there and congrats. I start at LIU this coming monday as a transfer student. I decided to start in the summer so I can finish my pre reqs in time to starts clinicals fall of 08..Since I haven't started yet I have no opions formed. Two very good friends of mine graduated from
LIU's nursing program. One works at NYU med center and the other at mount sinai. Did you apply as a freshman or transfer student? Let us know what you decide!

Hi guys, CONGRATULATIONS to both of you!!! Quick question, did you guys take the Hesi A2 vocabulary and the College placement test before getting accepted to LUI nursing program? I want to know b/c I'm thinking about applying there. Thanks in advance!!!
I came in with a Bach degree so I didn't to take a placement test. However I do have To take and pass an HESI exam before being allowed to start clinicals. The exam consists of math, anatomy, and chemistry that I know of
I have not taken the HESI A2 exam as yet. As for the placement exam I was exempted since I have a previous degree. So far the school seems good and the nursing program has a much better reputation than in the past.
