Anyone applying?
I am concerned having a spot as an alternate. Am I the last spot on the alternate list? Now I am wondering what I should do. If I get a letter from the LVN program at Tomball stating I have been accepted, should I go for it knowing it is a sure thing and that I can do the transition later? or should I just think I will get a call from Cy-fair that a spot is open for me??????
I am feeling confused and unsure about what I should do.
@beth I have no clue when Tomball will be sending out their letters. They were due out at the same time the ADN programs sent their letters out. I know it is best to follow a for sure thing or at least that is what I have experienced, but I am wanting to follow my heart. I have to find someone to talk this one over with, but for now I am not going to worry about it because I have not received the letter from Tomball. This was just a thought that gathered in my mind once it settled in that I received a letter saying I was an alternate at Cy-fair.
Accepted to Kingwood!
As for what was in the envelope, the KW envelope had only two sheets of paper in it.
One was a Congratulatory on Conditional Acceptance letter which included a list of items required to be done.
The second page was a letter of intent to enroll in the Spring 2012 program.
On that first page, the list of requirements include returning the letter of intent by a specific day, a checklist of things required (another copy of shots, TB skin test, background check form which they give at orientation, and a few other things), two options for your first mandatory orientation: one on 10/31 afternoon hours and one on 11/01 evening hours, and another mandatory orientation later in December with only one option for date/time.
There's also an area to check off if you're already a CNA or if you need to take the CNA class the first few weeks of January and it gives different options for dates/times.
