Anyone applying?

nothing yet?????

THE SUSPENSE IS DRIVING ME NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Still nothin today in the mail....grrrr....

How close do you live beth?

I live about a mile from the Kingwood location so, I think I would get it pretty fast once they are mailed.

I just can't stand the waiting. I wonder if they do that on purpose? Some kind of cruel joke to make everyone wait so long?

lol

I wish they would just tell us over the phone! I live 20 minutes from kingwood.

I would drive 20 minutes to kingwood....the wait is killing me.....Everytime I get in here it shows people are reading this thread as a guest... start an account if you applied to the program people! Trust me it feels so much better knowing others are suffering right along with you! :redbeathe

When I went to Cy-fair to submit my application, there was a lady there picking up all the applications and taking them to "system."

The denial letter I received from last application period was sent to me from zip code 77029. When I googled the zip code up it brings up Jacinto City near I-10E at 610 near the ship channel. Why would the letter be sent from so far away when initally my application was at Cy-fair and was taken to "system," which I thought was off 5000 Research Forest Dr. The Woodlands, TX 77381-4356, hhhuuuummmm?

77029???? Wow!! I too thought that their "home" was the Woodlands. That is so weird. I'm telling you, Cy-Fair is an odd one.

I have also noticed that the information session link on the Cy-fair nursing department website for the ADN program has recently changed. It now includes a slide about the difficulties of getting a job after completing the program because of some push to have all BSN by the year 2020. I thought this was important and wanted to share it with everyone.

Ok, I just called Cy-Fair. They said that letter have not been mailed out yet, but will be mailed out this week. I asked if they were "for sure" letters were being mailed this week and the lady replied "yes". That's about all the info I could get. Sorry guys :(

If you read some of the threads for Houston new grads it is really, really difficult to find a job because of oversaturation. There is no nursing shortage as hiring has gone down. That's probably why they changed the powerpoint. Kinda scary to go through all of this to get into the program only to not have a job waiting for you when you graduate.

Aaagghhh.....I just called the kingwood director and she told me letters HAVE NOT been sent out yet and that "letters will be sent out in the next few weeks" gosh that's so soooo long from now

The spring hopefuls 2011 hopefuls wrote that LAST year Cy-Fair received their acceptance letters first and then Kingwood applicants received theirs a few weeks later. Maybe Cy-Fair and Kingwood rotate who receives the letters first for deciding program alternate purposes?
