Anyone applying?
I do not know how the 1st/2nd choice works. My understanding is, if you get an acceptance letter you have a certain amount of time to let the Nursing Department know whether you accept or decline the offer for a spot in the program. From there the alternates are informed of their fate.
I think it would be hardest to be an alternate, not knowing for a longer period of time.
I am looking forward to this weekend being the last weekend of not knowing something about my ranking this application period.
I would think they just mail them all at the same time? That is why they wait until the end of the month? What I want to know is, if someone applies to cyfair, but misses the cutoff so they go to KW. Does that bump someone else that had KW as their first choice? Does that make sense? I just want to know how that works?
From what I understood at the information session, the colleges that are open (right now CF & KW) collaborate on the applications, filling spots with all the accepted students.
So although KW we are allowed to make them aware of our preferred location, it is merely a suggestion to them.
In other words: (these numbers are purely fictional)
KW & CF have collectively 140 slots for nursing students.
KW has 60 and CF has 80. Starting with the highest scores, the nursing admin place the students at their preferred location until that school is filled and then bump the remainder over to CF; overall filling the 140 slots.
This is just what I understood from the info session, and it may be totally wrong.
Just sayin LOL
Jessa- That sounds accurate..

You must also consider we are just a small percent of the people who have submitted an application. I would venture to say that the 25 people who have posted their score represents less than 15% of the total number of applicants. There are many scores and 1st/2nd choices we are unaware of.
hey you guys.. i was wondering if you guys can help me out. i posted this on another thread but nobody is really responding to it. anyways.. here it is. if you guys have time or know anything.. just let me know.so i took another HESI at prometric and i have to say.. i did so much better the second time around... if i don't get accepted to lonestar this spring.. im probably going to have my scores transferred to lonestar... if they allow that... anyways.. goodluck you guys!!! thanks =)

How do you know if the Nursing department received your HESI scores? I just took my Hesi today and already received the Scores online which usually takes about 24-48hrs. Anyways, now i'm just wondering.. since I've received my scores, does that mean the Nursing department from A&M Prairie has also received it??... am i suppose to call elvolve and request the scores to be sent over? but i feel like that doesn't make any sense since i took the HESI test specifially for A&M prairie view .. when i went there to turn in my final app, the lady in the front said i need to request the scores to be send to mrs.anderson.. im soo confused yalll... PLEASE HELP... and what are their office hours for admission?? i cant find it anywhere online... i know this is my fault because im doing this last minute, but yeah.. i would greatly appreciate if you guys can help me out. thanks yall

I am saying that the first letters mailed out are the denial letters because that was my experience last application period. Reading the posts from last application period the people who had not received their letters when those who got their acceptance letters did, ended up being alternates.
