Hi, just wanted to start a post about my process of applying at lonestar. Hope to hear from other applicants! I have just taken my HESI and will be applying for the spring semester with a score of 11.54
If anyone is needing titers done, I found a company online that lets you order the test and go have your blood drawn at a local lab. https://www.accesalabs.com/labfinder The chickenpox titer is $59 with no lab fee. Saves you the cost of a Doctor's visit if you are not covered by insurance.

Speaking of insurance... As a nursing student you are required to have health insurance (as noted by the upload requirement on CertifiedProfile). The school offers something which will probably be covered at orientation. Just something to consider, not that another stressor is something anyone needs, but now is the appropriate time to begin research to ensure coverage is in place before the semester begins.
I think I will be going ahead and getting the insurance the school has recommended....It is like $500 a semester...We only need titers if we have already had the immunizations a while back....Or do we get them no matter what.....Can not wait to meet you guys in the morning....Have a good night!!!!
