lonestar nursing 2014 hopeful

Published

Hi, just wanted to start a post about my process of applying at lonestar. Hope to hear from other applicants! I have just taken my HESI and will be applying for the spring semester with a score of 11.54

I am waiting for financial aid to kick in which is January 6th. I checked yesterday and books are still on backorder according to the online website

Yea I was thinking I won't need all the books at one time but have seen a lot of students with them. Plus, I have no idea where to get them at. I have seen some that are on wheels but do no look like a backpack but it is.

I know right morgan....I guess they want to inform us on everything else the Friday before school starts.

Yea I know. I just hope everything we need to get we already know about and not given something at the time at the last minute.

Hmmm, what does it look like? A tote on wheels maybe, I've seen some like that.

Yea let's hope not, but I can see that happening

Yea it was black and square shaped. When she opened up it had like divided sections in it. It looks as though I will be able to carry my laptop and books in it which will be really cool I think.

Oh wow, that sounds interesting. Especially with the divided sections. I may look into that also. I wonder if they will have the books by the time school starts.

Is anyone getting their books outside of the campus bookstore? I may look into that.

well if they give me the money off campus or on campus since I messed up on the request than I am thinking about amazon

so I did a little research and it's called a rolling laptop case is what I am looking for. They run a little bit more, but I guess I will be heading out to a office supply store to find something. I would rather look at them in the store than purchase online that way I can see in person what it is I am getting.

I have researched prices on Amazon and Chegg and it seems as if the bundle is the cheapest way to go if you are looking for a one-stop-shop. Some books are cheaper than others on each website. Of course, that is just me doing a little research on the books that are in the bundle since they did not have their ISBN numbers included on the list.

Thanks Mal that's good to know.
