Hi, just wanted to start a post about my process of applying at lonestar. Hope to hear from other applicants! I have just taken my HESI and will be applying for the spring semester with a score of 11.54

Does anyone else feel like if it was not for this thread that you would not know about half of this stuff

where are some places that you guys have purchased your scrubs and what brand did you get

I went to scrubs, etc in humble. They give you 15% off. I bought some landau and some Cherokee. Neither were the exact numbers they gave except for the lab coat. They seemed pretty strict about that. I also bought some other stuff there because of the discount. Plus they are super sweet!!

I wanted to know if anyone has bought their shoes, and if so where at and what kind? I still haven't looked so I wanted to kind of get an idea of what shoes to look for.

Nope, don't even have the books yet. Will be getting the books after the school opens back up for business on Jan 2nd

Another thing y'all might want to consider is buying an analog watch; nothing flashy or sparkly or bling

KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) In other words, you want something that is reliable, has a second hand, and something that you don't mind getting bodily fluids on. Water proof is a plus. Something you won't wear on a regular basis as your normal time piece. Keep the Rolex / TAG Heuer / Omega, etc for the weekends.

Oh yeah... go ahead and learn your military time now, switch your phones to it as well. With documentation/charting, it is mandatory you annotate in military time. If you don't know it, best start getting familiar with it during the break.

well I got my scrubs at scrubs etc. but they did not have my size in labcoat..They ordered it for me and said it would be here in time. They are really super sweet there and they also have the scissors, stethoscope and penlight etc. as well....I just need to get shoes too, but also the patches I totally forgot about. Should I get those like this week and have a tailor sew them on

Merry Christmas Everyone!!! It will be just a matter time till we are loosing our minds with schoolwork....oh man I am so worried to see if I can handle it or not...I should not let what ppl say however discourage me...I haven't yet so y now rightq

They gave you the info for the patches? I did not recall them giving us that information. I thought that would be the week before class. Can someone please clarify this for me?
