Hi, just wanted to start a post about my process of applying at lonestar. Hope to hear from other applicants! I have just taken my HESI and will be applying for the spring semester with a score of 11.54
If I read correctly, it looks like all appeals must be done through mylonestar. This is new and what I did. I was approved today. Thank the Lord!! Does anyone know if all books are in at the CyFair bookstore. looks like I wont get a book advance since we don't have schedules. Deadline for off campus purchases is Jan 2nd.
is that because of your financial aid?? Well do not worry it will all work out. I have financial aid and I am led to believe that I messed up my book advances. I think this because there was an email that financial aid sent out saying that they wanted us to fill a form out saying whether or not if we wanted the book advance money to go either "to campus" or "off campus". Well, silly me filled the off campus form and did not realize till I submitted it to financial aid. So I filled out the on campus form as well after that. I called financial aid telling them of this and than they informed me that I have to come in person to handle that matter. I hope that I did not delay my money for my books because the way everyone is talking it sounds like I need those books now.
Hi JennJenn, Don't worry I filled out the off campus form as well because I thought that the school was not going to sell the books. If the school sends you the money, you can still buy the books at the college. As long as you have the money you can buy the books anywhere you want. That is what someone from bookstore told me. Don't worry either way they will be ok.
I was approved, but have errors on my verification part. So your able to see your awarded amount?I heard most students have to do the written appeal. I did one for back up through North Harris, because January 2nd is going to be hell. The new rule about the appeals process is going to suck, because starting this new semester I believe I heard University Park is going to take over all the written appeals. Which could be bad, because they don't know many of us students on a individual level and in that case they could reject you.
If you're accepted into a program I don't see why they would reject you for Max hours reached. .....
