Lone Star Spring 2011

Okay, for all of us that did not get into the Lone Star Fall 2010 program and are trying again for the Spring...here we go again.

I'm retaking AP2 this summer (I have a B so now I want an A) to increase my points. After that I just don't know what else to do because I have all co-reqs completed, CPR done and Immunizations done. What are your plans to increase your chances of getting in for the Spring?

Hmmm....interesting. I didn't think we had to have our first Hep B until the pop up last night said to bring it in. I brought in everything and she took it all. I wish they would be consistant.

I did see on the website that you had to have your Hep B series completed by December 1st for the Spring 2011 start. (bottom of this page - http://www.lonestar.edu/deadlines.htm) If any of you haven't started it yet, I would go ahead and get it started now. Takes a while to complete the entire series.

Same here. I went in with all of my paperwork including the proof of Hep B but she said she didn't need it. Were you at CyFair? Was it ***** *******?

When I turned mine in to CyFair I gave them the app, score sheet and Program Evaluation printout. I asked her if I needed to show proof of Hep B and she said not now. So just those 3 things.

Same with me..... I didn't see a pop up. Does anyone know exactly how many spots are open at Cy Fair this time around? Just curious.

Yes it was at Cy-Fair. I didn't catch her name but the initials on the receipt she gave me are KM so I would assume so. I handed her my packet, she checked to make sure I had everything, looked over my evaluation form and filled out my receipt. My shot record was in there and she took that along with everything else. Oh well, at least she has it if they need it I guess.

Just talked to *****. Cyfair does not require the hep b proof with application. That pop up is automatic and not applicable to us:)

Did you ask her how many spots were open this time? I thought I heard 40 but since I have all the wrong information today that is probably not correct either. :p

Same with me..... I didn't see a pop up. Does anyone know exactly how many spots are open at Cy Fair this time around? Just curious.

I called the nursing dept @Cyfair and was told that they are accepting 50 applicants for the Spring. I bet their getting sick of us bothering them with our constant questions. Oh well, im sure i'll come up with more soon they should probably be used to it by now lol :D.

Oh, I also wanted to check on all of you that took Pharm this summer...are ya'll finished and how was it? I am doing the hybrid at NH and I wanted to know if your prof is the same one I will be taking. The one I will have has the last name that starts with a "C" and her first name is the last part of a Marga-****. Sorry this is so dumb but I don't know if we can post names...kinda like a game of Win, Lose or Draw! Any info would be wonderful. I know ya'll were having some issues with the prof being out of the country or something?

I am taking the same class this fall. Maybe we can help one another out if necessary. We may even be involved in group discussions/assignments. I am not sure. I guess I am just trying to say see you in cyberspace for this class. :)
