Today is the deadline and as of 12:00PM there are no apps being accepted, so they say :chuckle
Okay for all of us that are waiting, this is our official I'm waiting , checking the mail daily :imbar, going crazy
, biting my nails
, at the edge of my seat
, can hardly concentrate on anything else :typing, Kingwood and Cyfair Spring 2009 awaiting thread:yeah:We still have a while to go before letters are going to be sent out but let's keep each other encouraged and cross our fingers for everyone that applies!
So who's with me? What are your points and where did you apply- Kingwood or Cyfair?
Good luck future nurses
Ok, I just called Vallerie's # and all I get is an answering machine. I left a message but doubt that I'll hear anything today. I've called before and emailed for that matter and it took several days for a response. If they sent these out yesterday and we don't recieve them by tomorrow than something is seriously wrong. What I don't understand is why does it take so long to mail out these letters especially when other people have been getting letters for going on 2 weeks now. I would think they'd be getting tons of phone calls and want to resolve this ASAP if for no other reason than to stop the phone calls and emails. Ok, I'm finished now.

Standing on my soapbox this morning-
I agree Rj. If I don't receive anything by tomorrow but I'm hoping for today, I'm calling the director and ask her what's going on. Is it just slow Houston mail, or did they not mail the letters like they said they did? All I want is the truth. Txmommy received her letter one day after it was post marked and although I know it may vary by where you live, at least ocutepink should have recieved something yesterday with her living across the street from Kingwood... it's wait and see yet again today.
Thank you from the both of you. We're gonna make great nurses!
Orientation is either Nov.21(Fri)2-4pm or Dec.2(Tues) 5-7pm
I'm off on that Friday so I'm going at that time.
There's a mandatory "First Steps for Success" program on 1/8 @8am-5pm or 1/9 8am-5.
The intent form has to be turned in by 11/14. I guess it must have to be hand delivered since they didn't give a fax#
Also you have to enroll for RN1172 if need be. It gives a couple different options there also.
Finally, you have to rank your schedule preference-there's 8 different options. My only option is Tuesday/Wednesday lecture 5-8pm and Saturday clinical 6:30a-4:30p
I have to register now for my CPR class - I think I saw one on Nov 22 in the Conroe area. Anyway, let me know soon as you get your letters. I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!

If they lost yours then they lost all of ours because this don't make no sense! I wonder if she was telling the truth yesterday. Why don't one of you guys call Kingwood and see if they tell you something different than the letters were mailed yesterday? If they say something different then we know they did not go out like she told me.
