I was wondering if anyone had any informaition on the Littman 4100 electronic stethoscope. I have a mild hearing loss and am using the littmann cardiology 3 at this time but still seem to miss some sounds. I have been looking for any reviews or comparisons dealing with the littmann 4100, but havent found much info. I would appreciate any advice!!!!

Sorry I can't help you with any info on this model. I've noticed over the past few years that it is no longer offered by the catalogs I have been receiving. I guess they weren't selling enough of them to make it profitable. Even wondered if Littman stopped production. Hope you get the info.

I can't offer any info specific to the stethoscope you're asking about. What I would suggest is to just go into a med supply store and test out the stethoscopes before you decide to buy one and see which one you can hear best out of.

I have the LIttman electronic stethoscope and love it. However, if the batteries go out, then you can't use the stethoscope. For this reason, I always keep back up batteries readily available.
Thank you all so much for the quick responses.... I am unable to try this stethoscope out in the stores before I buy it due to I cant find it available in stores. Due to the price of this stethoscope, I do appreciate very much any and all input! As you all know hearing is a big part of our jobs and I would be willing to pay a one time fee higher then most if it means I can do a better job for my patients. Once again thanks for all the quick responses and the continued answers I hope to receive. :balloons:

for me i finally found one that i can use and hear what i need to hear. it is the maxi scope by ultra scope. great for noisy situations and you can even hear through a layer of clothing. (not that i would recommend it) the price is reasonable too.
