license reinstatement

I relinquished my license 10 years ago for alcohol abuse and I felt that I was unsafe to practice. After years of battling this disease, I completed a treatment program an reapplied for my license. I went to the Florida board meeting and was told that in order to get my license reinstated I would have to have an IPN evaluation, and take refresher courses. I was recently accepted in to a BSN program for this fall. My question is, if anyone has experienced this, have you had any negative impact on employment?

If, after the evaluation, the board puts you in the monitoring program, then yes- that in itself makes gaining employment difficult. there are many posts/threads on here concerning this. best of luck!! i hope it all turns out well for you!
