Hello,
I graduated with a BSN and passed the NCLEX in April. I was notified by the GBON in June that I had to complete a mental physical examination (MPE) as I received a DUI in January of 2020 (case was still pending at this time). I completed the $2000 MPE and the results were sent by the end of the month (June 23rd). I was expected to start on a unit in early July, yet my license has not come. Calling the Secretary of State, I was told to wait 15 business days for the Board to review. Emailing resulted in being notified my app would be reviewed July 29th (much longer than 15 business days). It is now august 6th and I have no information. The hospital keeps delaying me (trying to start as a pct in the meantime) and I check my license app status almost every minute in the day. Still no info on if I’m going to be licensed and if my dream job is going to fall through.
Does anyone know how long it may take after submitting an MPE to get a license as a new grad? The board of nursing has not been the most transparent with communication.
