I recently graduated nursing school this pass December and I have passed the NCLEX. I got my license in South Carolina because my school stated I would be able to test sooner than waiting to test in Ohio since I didn't attend school there. I am not sure how true that is.

I would like to know how long people have experienced waiting for their temporary license to display for Ohio BON if you did the online application? I have gotten a job offer and would like to begin work.

I know, from friends, that Ohio new system has allowed people who got license by examination in Ohio their license posted quicker than previous years. License numbers are posted and emailed the next day after their exams are completed. I am hoping the endorsement process will be as quick. The board has already received my fingerprints and transcript. I am just waiting for South Carolina to post my license number so I can submit my endorsement application.

I was originally licensed in North Carolina, and then moved to Ohio about 6 years ago. I don't remember the exact time-frame, but I was offered a position in December, and moved to Ohio in January. If I remember correctly, it took 2-3 weeks for my temporary license to post to the Ohio BON website. Best of luck with your move!

I know this post is a few months old, but I was wondering how long it ended up taking you to get your Ohio license by endorsement? I applied June 5th and have turned in everything, but it still just says "submitted". I was offered a job and they want me to start in July..... I'm getting rather anxious. And of course there is no answer or response to messages/emails from the Ohio board. Thanks in advance!

hi Traci9263. Im on the same boat. I called the Ohio board and one of the representative said that they just started processing the june applicants. I submitted all my endorsement requirements last month too.
