Lesser of 2 evils: Micro or A&P II in the summer?

Published

It's a toss up - one I will take in spring and one I will take in summer, but I can't figure out which. I hear they are both excrutiating when packed into the summer.

Any advice? BTDTs?

TIA!

Finish your AP II in sequence in the spring and take micro in the summer--it's way easier than anatomy or physio.

I did Micro in a 10 week session and AP II over the summer, so the semester length was comparable for both courses. I thought both were doable, but if I had to pick, I too would say take Micro over the summer. AP II is pretty intense, and personally, I found it harder than AP I.

i agree with the above suggestions. take micro in the summer.

I second that. As for me, I'm taking A&P II this spring and will be taking Micro in the summer.

Thanks all! That was what I was thinking, as A&P II is a pre-req (sort of) for one of my schools. PLus, now that I am in I, I would really just like to move right into II.

I agree with the sequence suggestion but i wouldn't go as far as to say micro is way easier than A&P.

I took A&P 2 in the summer and it damn near killed me!

Seriously, it was the hardest thing that I have ever done. It was a 8 week session, in class 4 days a week for 5 hours a day. After class I'd come home and eat dinner and study for 5-7 hours EACH night (until 2am). On the weekends I'd study 8-12 hours each day. Dedicating that time commitment is the only way that you can possible memorize the huge amount of intricate detail that you will be required to learn.

I am an 'A' student, and I get get an A in this summer A&P2 class, but seriously, it really, really took a toll on my health with lack of sleep and constant studying / memorization.
