Lenoir community college ADN & LPN program

Published

HEY! This is my first post. I can't find anyone who is considering Lenoir community college nursing program. I am currently on the alternate list for both ADN & LPN PROGRAM. Lenoir is my first choice. Do I have a good enough chance of getting in? They won't say how many people are on there or what number i am. Also i know they take in 80 for ADN and atleast 30 for LPN according to the accredidation site that shows the max amount of students. Do they actually have that many in each program because i only see atleast 20 people for pinning last year and years before that maybe less.

This school is in Kinston, NC

Specializes in Emergency Nursing, Pediatrics.

I can't help you with the first portion of your question but I can say with any nursing school not everyone who makes it in will make it to pinning.

Oh ok i was confused because they don't have many that actually make it to pinning.

I would advise against Lenoir Community College. The instructors run it like Military Drill Instructors. They are threatening, belittling, dehumanizing and rude. The ADN accepts 40 students and maybe 12 will graduate. They throw you out of the program at the drop of a hat for any reason. They are hateful. Clinical is horrible. Teachers will line you up and check to make sure you have a panty line because they think thong under-wear is "unprofessional". I say this is a torturous harassment made up by sadistic misogynistic dykes and they need to be sued.

Go ANYWHERE but Lenoir. One of the instructors sits on the NCBON and she thinks she's "all that". They create an environment that is not conducent to learning.

ShakeShakeShake omg, I just got into Lenoirs ADN program....I am a retired Marine so I'm not worried if they wanna chew my *** or belittle me lol, but is it just the treatment that is bad or were the instructors not good? man, I'm kinda freaked out esp after the part where you said they checked to see what underwear you were wearin.

Lenoir is not an accredited nursing program and their 2018 pass rate for NCLEX was only 75%

omgod...I could of swore I researched this before I applied...and I just looked at their accreditations after you sent this...so what does that even mean...how can they run a program if their not accredited?

Don’t worry, yes they are lol I just checked the ncbon website amd they’re fully accredited

The BON does not accredit programs, they just approve them. ACEN is the accrediting organization for 2 year ADN programs and LCC is not accredited.

They are approved by he NCBON but if you ever want to leave NC or even work at a military or VA hospital, you need to have attended an accredited program.
