Thought I would start this thread to see who out there is planning on applying for the nursing program for 2015. I have a few classes that I am completing this fall and spring semester. If everything goes to plan I feel that I should have a fairly good chance getting in.
Just thought I would revive this thread to see if anyone else on here is planning on turning in their application for the March 1st deadline? I am taking my final prerequitses for the program this semester, microbiology lecture and lab along with pharmacology and a couple of other classes for my BSN prerequitses. In the next couple of weeks I need to get my employment verification forms filled out and get everything together to turn in my application by the end of next month. Definitly excited and nervous.

Hi I'm applying for nursing on March 1st And I'm so nervous about it.. I have a year worth of work experience , working on getting more volunteer hours before dead line and I'm taking lab and lecure of microbiology this spring. I also took the cna class so im hoping im lucky to get in. I'm so nervous I won't have enough points to get in .
I completely understand being nervous, I am finishing up the last of my prereq's this semester. If I do well,I should be competitive on my points, but have some difficult classes this semester. I am also taking microbiology lecture and lab, both on Tuesday and Thursday, along with pharmacology. Doing my CPR certification tomorrow. I have 7 years of work experience as a CNA so that should help. I still need to get my work experience forms filled out and meet with an advisor to get my pink sheet signed. Just seems like so many things to do over the next few weeks before turning my application in. Than I can breathe a little easier.
So today was the last day to get applications in for the 2015 program. Had my application turned in a few weeks ago, although I will not know how many points I will have until after the end of the spring semester since I am taking classes right now that will be considered into my point total. Anyone else turn in their application for LCC? Wishing it was the end of spring semester already so I would know if I got into the program and could make definite plans for my fall semester. It is a bit irritating that registration for fall semester has already started and all I can do is make tentative plans since I will have no idea of what is going on until the end of May.

Didn't your advisor add up all your points and what your potential points are before you got your pink sheet for your application?
Yes she did, depending on what I get in my classes I could range anywhere between 147 to 157 points, all depends on where I fall on the GPA points. Thinking I will end above 150, things are going well in my Micro lecture and Pharm class, so far a strong 4.0. My micro lab instructor is driving me nuts though, she is so disorganized in grading and getting things back in a timely manner, I have no idea of how I am truly doing in the class. Our lab exam that we took several weeks ago, we still haven't gotten grades back on, it took her several weeks to get our first lab write ups back to us. Just been very fusterating considering it is half way through the semester and have no true feedback on how I am doing in the class.
I just received a letter from slective adimisson saying they have received my application i was so nervous to open it lol. I guess now just waiting till spring grades pass for final seat placement. This is so nerve wrecking but good luck to everyone!

I applied with 150 points. Finals ended yesterday and eagerly awaiting my letter! Good luck guys!
They have to post final grades to determine if any people are repeating the semester. Then they'll make selections based on the number of seats available.
Good luck to everyone waiting on a letter! We're having our pinning ceremony today :)

I applied for the accelerated program in March --Grades for the Spring semester came out this morning and I'm anxiously awaiting a notice or status update for what the point "cutoff" will be and if I will be offered a seat or not. ...has anyone heard anything about points? I know it's soon...
Still waiting on my micro lab grade to be released, it has been driving me crazy. Figured out that I have152 points, just waiting on the official word. This waiting is driving me nuts, especially with the semester being over. I just have work and getting ready to move to occupy my time at the moment. Way too much down time, which makes the wait seem longer. Good luck everyone waiting, it didn't become nerve wrecking until the semester ended.
