Specializes in CNA- Emergency Room.

I woke up this morning to my acceptance email! Add a comment and let me know I'll see you later this month at orientation:) I'm so excited. I have been stagnant working as a CNA for 12 years. I figured I'd get my LPN license and then submit to a bridge program vs. going straight through an ASN/BSN program. I felt the pay bump after a year would benefit me more (I have 2 kids) at this point.

Hi. Congratulations to you! I received my acceptance email for the LPN program also.  Were we suppose to get a confirmation after submitting our acceptance survey? I haven't received anything yet.

Yay you!! I thought so too and got scared that I had not. I emailed the department this morning (as today at noon is the deadline to accept/decline) and they assured me they received my seat acceptance form. They also said they have not yet sent out the pre-orientation information mentioned in the acceptance email.

Okay. Thank you for the update. I have been working in a children's clinic for 14 years and decided to go back to school for nursing. I applied to an ASN program this January but did not get in, so I decided to continue with the LPN license. I'm excited about this nursing journey!

Me too! I'm beyond ready for this journey. How far will you be commuting? It's a solid hour for me. I have a few coworkers who do the same at the hospital I work at so I'm confident I can make it a year even with the long drive.

I live in Gwinnett County so I think it's about 45minutes for me. Gwinnett Tech is much closer to me but unfortunately they don't have the LPN program. Are your coworkers from the last cohort? Did they say what they thought of the program?

How was the program at Lanier Tech ? When did you have clinicals ? I am starting Fall 2024....any advice ?
