Hi all! I'm so excited to say that after seven months of applying I finally got an interview, shadow day and an offer for a home health job in Pittsburgh! I loved my eight-hour shadowing day, it included simple patients and those with complex family issues, a great example of patients I would be seeing every day. I currently work in a critical-care step-down at a major hospital working three-12 hours shifts a week so I'm sure working five days a week will be quite an adjustment but it's far better than working night shift anymore!
HOORAY!! :-)

Congratulations on this new opportunity! I hope you enjoy it and it fits you. So wonderful you had a shadow day ... I think that makes all the difference in taking the first steps into a very different aspect of nursing.
