Lakewood Regional Medical Center New Grad RN Residency Prog Sept/2011

I notice there is no thread for Lakewood residency for summer 2011 so i decided to start one....

Has anyone heard anything for the Lakewood RN residency program? I know the deadline for applications was on June 27, 2011 but I'm wondering if anyone has been contacted at all?

FYI: Lakewood said they received over 450 applications, are trying to interview 30, and plan on hiring 5-10 to the telemetry floor. The program starts September 12.

How was the interviews? How long was it...? How was the experience I'm so glad u got called :)

I'm sorry you didn't get called usRNs. I understand your frustration at the job market. Hoping you get something soon.

The interview went pretty well. It was a panel - 8 interviewers. They were all extremely friendly. I actually enjoyed it. :) The interview lasted about 20 minutes. I don't want to go into too much detail though, seeing how they're still interviewing.

I'm hopeful that the right one will come along... For now I'm taking some ACLS classes to b more marketable (see if it makes any difference).... I am really happy for you and glad it went well rooting for u & the 30 who got interviews...:)

ACLS classes are good. Also, Lifesaver Education in Pasadena is starting a 12-lead EKG class on the 14th of this month. That would probably be helpful too. http://www.lifesavered.com

Ur probably right I sure hope we all jobs soon tnx for the advice. I also have the EKG class pending trying not leave any strings :))

Don't give up! I just received a call from Lakewood Regional's HR dept and they scheduled me for an interview for Monday. She asked me if I wanted to come in on the 25th and I told her that I preferred the 8th. Guess they're running interviews until the end of the month.

Don't give up hope! They're still calling people. Good luck to you all!

Tnx bella good luck to U2 wish u the best also... all the way to the 25th wow that's a stretch two more wks of interviewing well I guess I can still say good luck to us all... I only wish they were more spots for the many new grads that r searching for an opportunity...
