Hi!
Please do tell....What labs would you monitor in particular for a patient who has a pressure ulcer? IE what labs might change because of the condition and what lab changes would indicate healing?
Thanks

Definitely want to check on the WBC as an increase could indicate an infection. Albumin and creatinine in regards to protein and muscle wasting would be good as well. But don't quote me, I'm just a junior nursing student!

think of promoting healing....
Thanks for the reply Princess!
I understand how albumin would reflect the protein level and I know that protein is necessary for healing, but what is the relationship between creatinine and skin breakdown/healing?
PS junior or senior, you know your stuff
