Lab Values For Lvn/lpn?

Published

Hi, guys!

I was about to review the lab values for LPN nclex but there are so many in the Saunders book! Do I really need to know all of them or just few main ones? Please, list the major ones I really should just focus on rather then 50 of them lol. Thanks

Suzanne or any of the other mods help would be greatly appreciated too.

BTW- I was searching parts of a STETHOSCOPE since a question popped up on saunders cd as I was reviewing them and I thought I should post the link! Might be beneficial to those who are waiting to the the NCLEX exam.

Really try and learn the normal for most but would say look at

U&E's, FBC, ABG's, mag and calcium, (just a quick list from the top of my head)

You just need a basic grasp of the norms for more common labs. Like the ones Silverdragon listed and potassium, calcium, magnesium, platlet counts, H&H, Normal PT, Ptt and INR. For NCLEX, you don't need to memorize, but know what is normal or abnormal and what you as the nurse will do about it. :heartbeat
