Kosair Children's

Hi,

I am a nurse on a cardiac stepdown unit at a large children's hospital in Atlanta. I love it.

We are researching a move in about 2 years, possibly to Louisville where my husband's family is.

I have checked out the job openings at Kosair Children's Hospital every few months for about 6 months and there never seem to be many.

Are there fewer jobs up there? Not much turn over? Anyone work in the hospital, is it a good place to be?

If getting a job in a children's hospital there is difficult it would influence our decision to move there. Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I work in the adult hospital, attached to Kosair. They do have fairly low turnover, and their staff is notoriously happy there. Our staff gets first dibs on openings over there, so they hire a lot from within.

On the job openings page, there is a link you can send your resume to, if you don't see an opening in your specialty. Go ahead and send your resume in- it goes to their HR dept. It is a level 1 trauma peds hospital, so if you have experience in that area, you should have no problem getting a job there.
