I am thinking of moving to Palm Desert, does anyone know how difficult it is to get into the the College of the Desert RN program? Any input would be helpful. Thanks.

Hi Sydnie07. When I went to COD, I waited about 1 1/2 years. Now I hear the wait list is about 2 years long. I believe they may have changed the way they accept applicants now. I know they give preference to those who live in the desert. Hope this helps.

You might want to consider the new program for BSN at the palm desert campus associated with CSUSB. They didn't have a lot of applicants for their first class. The one thing that bites is you have to sign a 3 year contract with one of the hospitals used for clinicals to be in the program.
Thanks. I know the application said preference will be given to students of COD, then they use random selection. I live in GA and it is so competitive I thought I may have a better chance somewhere else. I guess it must be competitive everywhere. Thanks for your help.
I did look into CSUSB but the application said you must be a permanent resident in California and I have not moved there yet so I do not think I can apply to the program. Thanks.
