Hello! I applied for this job on a labor and delivery unit a few weeks ago and just received an email that thanked me for submitting my resume and it also said "your resume has been reviewed and has been forwarded to the Director of Labor and Delivery" it said the director would contact me if my skills match the unit's needs.
Is this a good sign?????? I've gotten emails before from places I have applied but they were all "we have found a better candidate for this position" emails. Does this mean I might actually have a chance at getting an interview? I have been super frustrated lately because I must have submitted 10-15 applications and no one has called.
What do you all think?

You have a chance for an interview. Your info and the info of all the other applicants that meet the minimum requirements have been sent to the manager. The Manager will now look at them all and decide who to interview. Good Luck!!!!
thank you!!

I think it sounds like instead of going straight out the window, the recruiter or whomever sees it in HR sent it along to the NM. The ball is in her court now, so if she likes what she sees, then you may have an interview!
thanks! keeping my fingers crossed! :)

That means you made the HR cut and your resume has been forwarded to the hiring manager for consideration. The ball's in her court now.

Its a great sign!!!!!!
I applied for job via mailing the application, therefore I received no email status and there was no website to check the status of my applications. I followed up a few times, then didn't hear anything for five months until I interviewed and got offered the job.
Wow that's great! This is the first time I did not fill an application out for a job. It simply said to send my resume to this email address. I did not know if the process was different so when I got the email from them I was a little confused as to whether it was good or bad. Thanks for the feedback!
I am starting to lose hope! I got the email on the 17th of May and still have not gotten a call from anyone I called them to check on the status of my application and told them about the email that I received and the lady told me I am "in good shape" but still no call and that was almost 2 weeks ago..I don't know how long is usually takes for them to cal but I'm starting to go crazy waiting!

Hospitals are kind of slow usually in getting back to people. You could always call and ask what the time line is, or if any decisions have been made.
