CNA needing a job..please help!

  1. I'm a current nursing student at JCC and I recieved my state certification for a nurse assistant back in January. I'm having an extremely hard time finding a job. Every time I apply for multiple CNA jobs at Baptist East, I get the "Not Selected" status and at Norton, I get a e-mail months later saying no thanks! It's frustrating when your a nursing student who really wants to work in a hospital but no one will give you the time of day. Any suggestions????

i teach CNA classes at the job corps in louisville, your best bet is get 6mo to a year of CNA experiance in a long term care setting, most of the time even if the hospital doesnt require you to actually be state certified if you already have a years experiance you move to the top of the pile...good luck!

tasha, how does one get a job in a ltc facility? I never see any advertisements that they are hiring. Should I just walk in, and fill out an application?
