Anyone trying to get in Fall RN program at BCTC

U.S.A. Kentucky

Hey, just wondering if anyone else is trying to get in at BCTC in Lexington? I applied and am in the waiting game wanted to see if anyone wants to wait with me????? I am about to go nuts I can't stand this not knowing!!!

You guys might try asking if the chicken pox vaccine is cheaper than having a titer done. I was told it might be and when pennies count, it couldn't hurt to ask.

I'm already 2 of 3 down for Hep B and of course, found out my place of employment would have done all 3 for free. Sheesh.

Biggest issue I'm currently having is actually registering for fall nursing 1. It won't let me register because I've not completed my math 150, but I am enrolled in it for summer 1 so I can't see why they wouldn't just let me register. My advisor is not nursing and is an idiot. He has constantly given me wrong information so I have to spend days emailing people trying to find some one who knows what they're talking about it. Can't wait to get an actual nursing advisor!! argh.

OH!! One more thing: Has anyone found a CPR class for health professionals? The only one I found was in Richmond and it cost $110! I about died!! I haven't paid for it yet because I would like to find one cheaper. Anyone have any ideas?

try: jumpstarttheheartcpr.com ($60.00)

Try this website... THis place is in lexington.

Also- I think $60 is about the average, so don't go paying $110!

sorry

Lisa has to enroll you manually. The lady in the nursing department said they have it set up that way, so random people who have met the pre-reqs but weren't accepted into the program can't register for Nursing classes... LOL hope that helps!

I think life would be so much easier if they had assigned me a nursing advisor. LOL

Also, our community education counsel offers CPR classes at BCTC (there's on April 25 6-9pm) for $50. I'm going to try to get signed up for that one and get it over with.

I think I may have the vaccines, they will do them free at the health dept where I live, except Hep B. I have my record from that but it was about 15 years ago. Labcorp titers are $87 for varicella and $87 for hep B, and all teh others are around $200, ouch!!!! I may sign up for that CPR class, too.

Hello people! I am going to be a new student taking NSG101 for Fall 2013. Anyone can give me recommendation teacher for this course? I really appreciate it!!!
